Opportunities
One platform, four pillars and a growing list of schemes. Young people who understand the system will get the most from it.

Idea in Brief
The Situation
The Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) organises its work around education, employment, engagement and environment, with flagship schemes for laptops, skills, loans, innovation and volunteering.
Why It Matters
The Digital Youth Hub had more than 800,000 registered users by June 2026. Opportunities are growing faster than awareness of how to access them safely.
The Way Forward
Start with a verified Digital Youth Hub profile, target schemes that fit your stage, and use only official channels.
For a young Pakistani in 2026, the most important career decision may be the first one: knowing where opportunities are listed. Increasingly, the answer is a single government platform.
Start with the Digital Youth Hub
The Digital Youth Hub (DYH), inaugurated in March 2025, is a one-stop platform connecting young people with opportunities across the PMYP’s four pillars. It was developed with UNICEF as a strategic partner and the National Information Technology Board. By June 2026, APP reported, it had more than 800,240 registered users and listed 114,374 employment, 292 education, 38 engagement and 79 environment-related opportunities.
Registration is simple: sign up on pmyp.gov.pk or the Digital Youth Hub app, complete your profile and verify your email.
The advantage goes to those who know where to look, and how to apply safely.
Match the Scheme to Your Stage
Students: laptops and Chromebooks
The PM Youth Laptop Scheme, managed by the Higher Education Commission under the PMYP, awards laptops to university students on merit. The prime minister said in August 2026 that 700,000 had been distributed, with 250,000 Chromebooks planned this year for high-performing government school students. Registration opens in phases.
Graduates: skills and internships

The 2026–27 budget expands youth skills training to 120,000 people and continues the paid Ba-Ikhtiar Naujawan internships. NAVTTC runs free digital skills and freelancing training linked to the PMYP, and 1,000 young people are to be selected on merit for AI and IT training in China.
Entrepreneurs: business and agriculture loans
The Youth Business and Agriculture Loan Scheme supports young people starting or growing small enterprises. The PMYP chairman has highlighted interest-free loans as a key tool. Check terms and partner banks on the official website.
Changemakers: volunteering
The National Volunteer Corps is a flagship engagement initiative funded in the 2026–27 development budget. In January 2026 the PMYP signed a letter of intent with VSO Pakistan and BARGAD to train and mobilise 20,000 youth volunteers. See our guide to youth volunteer opportunities.
Four Rules for Applying Safely
- Use only official websites ending in .gov.pk or .edu.pk, and the official app.
- Government youth schemes do not charge registration fees. Report anyone who asks.
- Never share your CNIC, passwords or one-time codes with agents or unofficial pages.
- Confirm deadlines on the official portal, not forwarded messages.
