A session on how young Pakistanis are being encouraged to lead on climate change was held at the UN climate summit, COP30, with Youth Revolution Clan (YRC) listed among its organisers.

The 50-minute session, titled Empowering Youth for Climate Action: Pakistan’s Green Youth Movement under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, took place at the SDG Pavilion on 10 November 2025, the opening day of the pavilion’s programme.

COP30, the UN’s annual climate change conference, was hosted in Belém, Brazil.

According to the official UN programme, the session was organised in partnership by three groups: the Commonwealth Asian Youth Alliance, the Centre for Digital Literacy and Business Management, and YRC.

What was the session about?

The UN listing says the session set out to highlight the work of Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Youth Programme in empowering young people to lead climate action.

It ran from 14:40 to 15:30 local time as part of a pavilion programme that continued until 21 November.

Why does it matter for YRC?

Climate action is one of YRC’s focus areas.

A role in a session at the UN’s main yearly climate gathering gives the organisation a platform to put the views of young Pakistanis in front of an international audience.
