Youth Revolution Clan (YRC) is a youth-led nonprofit organization in Pakistan that empowers young people through leadership development, skill-building, community service and opportunities to create positive social change.
Founded in Lahore in 2007 by social entrepreneur and youth advocate Rizwan Anwar, YRC is one of Pakistan’s pioneering youth-led organizations. For nearly two decades it has worked to connect the energy and ideas of young Pakistanis with real opportunities to learn, lead and serve their communities.
Who we are
Pakistan has one of the youngest populations in the world. We believe that young people are not only the leaders of tomorrow but agents of change today, and that they deserve the skills, networks and platforms to act on that potential.
YRC is a youth empowerment organization in Pakistan run by and for young people. Our work brings together leadership training, education, digital skills, volunteering and cultural exchange, and it is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Our mission
To empower young people, build cross-cutting leadership skills and drive positive social change aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Our vision
A resilient, progressive and highly skilled generation of young people leading sustainable development and peaceful cooperation, in Pakistan and around the world.
What we stand for
- Youth leadership – young people should have a real voice in the decisions that shape their lives.
- Equal opportunity – every young person, including young women and those in rural communities, deserves access to education and skills.
- Service – volunteering and community action are among the best ways to learn leadership.
- Dialogue and diversity – respect across cultures and faiths is the foundation of peaceful communities.
- Accountability – we share what we do openly and link to independent sources wherever we can.
What we do
Our work is organized around five focus areas: youth empowerment and decision-making; women and girls’ education; social entrepreneurship and digital skills; environmental protection and climate action; and peacebuilding and conflict resolution.
We put these into practice through youth development programs such as training workshops, leadership seminars and conferences, mentorship, community projects and international youth engagement.
Our track record
Rather than make claims, we prefer to point to documented work. Highlights include:
- 2016 – organizing the Lahore International Conference on Culture with Cultural Infusion, attended by the Australian High Commissioner and UNESCO’s director in Pakistan, as reported by the United Religions Initiative.
- 2017 – organizing the 2nd Lahore International Conference on Culture at the Lahore Arts Council with Cultural Infusion Australia.
- 2022 – a YRC delegation at a UN youth summit in Geneva, and YRC’s chairman and co-chair speaking at a UN Geneva dialogue on women’s empowerment organized by Kinnaird College for Women.
- 2025 – serving as an organizing partner of a youth climate action session at COP30, the UN climate change conference.
Our work has been covered by the United Nations COP30 programme, Academia Magazine, Daily Times, ASEF culture360, the United Religions Initiative and SBS Punjabi. See Media & News.
